... WALKING!!! As Ebenezer looked on, what started out as 'crusing' around the living room, eventually morphed into, walking while holding momma's finger & then finally walking with my baby carriage ALL BY MYSELF! I only got the pics of everything up until the carriage & got that on Video rather than pics but below you can see the transformation in just a short time this morning! SEE WHAT A GOOD BREAKFAST CAN DO@?$#$%^$%!!!!!!!

Lunch with my BABIES!!!!!!!!

Ok so HOW CUTE AM I TODAY? PLEASE, OBVIOUSLY I'M ADORABLE! So much so, in fact, that Momma said that we should ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY HAVE A LUNCH DATE WITH HER THREE FAVORITE KIDS EVER, MISS EMMA, MISS ABI AND MISTER SAM! I mean, with me lookin THIS cute, we couldn't NOT have company over to show off my 'cuteness!' hehehe CHECK ME OUT!






TODAY WAS A SPECIAL DAY INDEED!!!! I know most all of you know I've been a professional Nanny now for over 15 years, but what you may not know is that I am HEAD OVER HEELS IN LOVE WITH THE CHILDREN I'VE CARED FOR OVER THE YEARS!!! The last family I worked for is CERTAINLY NO EXCEPTION! Emma & Abi (fraternal twin sisters) and their little brother SAM are just about THE SWEETEST KIDS EVER!!!!!!!!! I love them SO MUCH and missed them SO MUCH that their new Nanny Lacey brought them over today for a PLAY/LUNCH DATE~!!!!!!!!!!! Ruby got to know the three kids I've given my heart to for the last 3 & 1/2 years & it was SO CUTE TO SEE THEM ALL PLAYING WITH MY DAUGHTER! Ruby had a BLAST and so did THEY! Peanut butter sandwiches, cinnamon applesauce, popcorn (fishy crackers for Ruby) and milk was HAD BY ALL!!!!!!! And if they FINISHED their lunch they were each allowed ONE COOKIE OF THEIR CHOICE! They had Gingerbread Men or Pirouette Mint cookies by Pepperidge Farm and EVERYONE TOOK A CHOCOLATE MINT COOKIE~! (SMART KIDS!!!) Below are some pictures of the day and I am just PLEASED AS PUNCH THAT THEY ALL FINALLY MET! I love my babies so much and I couldn't love Ruby more if I dipped her in THE MINT CHOCOLATE THEY USE TO MAKE THOSE DAMN COOKIES, MAN THEY'RE SOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!!!!

Horray, Horray...

I'm 15 months old TODAY!!! YIPPEE!!!!
Momma says that I'm doing SO GOOD! I am crawling on all 4's now and I love to stand up & hold onto things, especially my piano! I also dig hanging out with my dog Ebenezer & he and I look out Momma's bedroom window to the driveway & hope that we'll see either Nanna & Nonno or maybe our neighbors Charlie & Joan! We're just nosey us two! ;)

Then today, after my Nonno came home from work, he and I played on the floor together & he's just SO SILLY I LOVE HIM SO MUCH! He makes me laugh & does silly things that I think are just the BEST! Look at how he makes me SMILE!!!!!!!!

...Ruby!!! Well, since my girl is finding out that she LOVES TO STAND UP, she just recently discovered her little Piano that was a gift from her good buddy Ben & his family! Ruby LOVES THIS THING and man can she belt out a TUNE to make even Bethoven jealous! GO BABY GO!!!! PLAY IT FOR MOMMA! Oh, and the adorable outfit she has on was a wonderful surprise gift she received this morning from her favorite neighbors, Charlie & Joan! THANKS GUYS!! She's SO CUTE IN IT & I JUST LOVE 'THE RUGGED BEAR'! Best kids clothes on the PLANET! =)

Cuddle time with Nonno...

Tonight my little princess had some special 'cuddle' time with her Nonno while watching 'Jack Frost' on abc's family channel, LOVE THAT STATION! The 25 days of Christmas is SO KEWL! They play a new christmas special EVERY NIGHT of the WHOLE MONTH of December! GOTTA LOVE CHRISTMAS TIME! I don't know who enjoyed this more, my daughter or my father... either way, it was a precious moment that I'm so glad I captured on film! =)

And on a side note, little miss Ruby Cate went to her first doctor's visit today & she's very healthy! She's 19 lbs 15 oz and 33 & 1/4th inches long! Her only issue ( which I kinda had a hunch about ) was Scabies... it's apparently very common with children from Asia so a prescription of some elemite cream & WE'RE ALL SET! I put it on her tonight, wrapped her snug in her feety pajamas & in the morning I'll give her a bath & wash it all off & just like that, no more scabies! HEHEHE Dig it!

For now, I've done my shot & am gonna head to bed under my GORGEOUS SILK COMFORTER I TREATED MYSELF TO WHILE IN CHINA! I feel like a queen!

BIRTHDAY GIRL: CUPCAKE for ONE! hee hee

So Ruby's 1st birthday was Sept 7th, 2005 and I was the one who received the BEST GIFT OF ALL, my Daughters Referral Call and her photos! Man, what a gift that was! But in light of missing her birthday I felt that since my special girl was born the year of the Monkey, that we would celebrate just the family with a special Monkey Cupcake!! Nanna bought the candles, I picked out a pink one but neglected to realize that they were TRICK candles and once I had 'thought' that the candle was blown out, I went to take the paper off the cupcake & *POOF* more flames magically appear & scare the shit outta me! LOL Ruby's just looking at the whole thing thinking " ok when do I get to HAVE THAT??? So after tossing the candle into the sink, I finished removing the paper & handed over the goods... at first she just poked at it & stared but once Momma showed her that yes, you can actually eat it, she was all OVER IT! So, even though it's a little late, chocolate in ANY FORM is NEVER A BAD THING & is always BETTER LATE THAN NEVER! So, with that, I give you Ruby's 1'st Birthday w/Monkey Cupcake!

Sometimes before bed I like to snack on my favorite things in the world... CHEERIOS! Tonight as I was sitting down to a good handfull on my tray, my Nonno came up to visit and because I love him so much I was happy to share some... although I don't think he likes them as much as me! hehehe ;) TI AMO NONNO!

... Seriously, after some breakfast, a morning bath, some lotion & a toasty new outfit complete with yet another bow, COULD SHE BE ANY CUTER?@#$#$% WOOOOOO HOOOOOOO I'M IN LOVE!!!!!!!!

Right on Schedule!!

Well, it's quarter to 3am and RIGHT ON SCHEDULE my daughter awoke from a peacefull sleep with a poopie diaper! However tonight I'm trying something different, rather than our usual TiVo date in the living room, I wanted to see how she felt about me letting her play in her crib with the lights on but still leaving the Baby Einstein CD on REPEAT PLAY (key feature here folks) and already she's starting to 'fade' back to sleep! WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO

So, in a little bit I'll go slowly dim the lights but just leave her to sleep peacefully among a sea of her favorite toys and it goes without saying, BEAR too! ;)

This sleep thing may not be as difficult as it seems... and maybe you can teach an old seasoned Nanny new tricks! ;)

Who says New Moms can't sleep late? LOL

I beg to differ... If you and your child don't actually finally FALL ASLEEP till 7am then you are CERTAINLY ENTITLED to sleep until 1:20pm! ;) Which is just what me & my girl did today! I think we both need more time to get over the jetlag but we'll get there eventually. Until then we made the most of what little day we did have today & went to visit with Auntie Krista & our cousins Kayla and Danny and did we have FUN! Kayla and Danny have a big beautiful play room & Ruby just LOVED IT! Here are some of the pics!








Also, after a fun filled day of playing with friends Ruby came home to spend some quality 'Ruby & Nanna' time and they danced & laughed together & it made this very tired Momma, very happy to see her own mother so happy with her beautiful new grandaughter... my sweet girl, miss Ruby Cate! (even Bear seemed happy!)




This whole family is completely blessed beyond words! *grin* WE LOVE YOU RUBY!!!!!!


(btw, it's currently 8:45pm and Ruby's sound asleep & I am about to do the same after posting this blog... to say I'm 'exhausted' is an UNDERSTATEMENT!) hehehe

TiVo & Momma VS. Bear & Blocks...

... ok so right on schedule although somewhat earlier than expected, my little sleeper woke with a poopie diaper, no biggie, I changed her & put her right back into bed, however she had other plans. She screamed and screamed until I got her up and then wasn't happy until we both went into the living room to curl up in my toasty chair to catch up on what TiVo had for us... SMART GIRL! I don't mind, hell this getting used to the time difference is hard on me as well & frankly, I'm up, so what the hell, TiVo date #2 began... with two eppisodes of '2 and a Half Men' to watch...
... so half way through the second eppisode, my girl decides to wiggle & squiggle so much in my arms that I brought her into my room to sit on the floor with Bear and her blocks that she loves.




She then finished her date with HIM and those blocks! ( I see where I rank now... LOL ) And as I type this she's showering Bear with KISSES upon KISSES all over his little fuzzy ears! She's so damn cute I can't get mad! I know that it'll take us both a bit to really truly get back on track as far as sleeping etc so for now I'm enjoying these late night moments with my girl who I spent what seemed like FOREVER waiting for... and I'm just so beside myself BLESSED & AMAZED to literally be able to hear her precious voice babbling as she plays with Bear and turn my head to see her happily playing with blocks on my bedroom floor. Dreams really do come true, even at 2:30am!!
