One Year Down...
...forever to go.
One year ago today, Ruby & I officially became Mother & Daughter in the legal eyes of China.
Seeing our names together, side by side on such an official document was overwhelming & heartwarming all at once.
My emotions swept over me in one fluid motion
and my heart, not that unlike the ever popular Grinch's, grew ten sizes that day.
Love, my love for my daughter, is pretty powerful stuff.
Happy 'Forever Family' day baby girl.
Oh how amazing you've made my life in only one short year.
The gift of 'you' is more than I ever imagined I could have...
...and now that you're here, it's like winning the lottery-

Hee! She looks less than pleased in that pic. Julia had this confused look in our family photo. Kind of like "who are these crazy white people?"

Hi again! I loved seeing this picture- and congratulations on that one year mark!
As for my bougenvellia (totally spelled wrong)- I plan to prune it into a shape of a tree as it matures... my sister has 2 huge ones in her front yard. I'm usually a black thumb too! But I so love to have flowering plants so I'm giving it my best shot!
How do I add my "email" link? I have no clue... sometimes this whole blogger thing is confusing and I'd rather set up my own website!

That tree is GORGEOUS & I completely understand about the black
thumb business but so far you seem to be doing that beautiful tree
justice. ;)
As far as adding an 'email me' link to your blog, it's fairly simple
if you understand HTML, if you don't, then it's like mission impossible.
The truth is, before I started my blog, I knew JACK SQUAT about HTML
crap, who cared when you were a nanny right? LOL BUT, since starting the
blog, I've educated myself & now can do alot of things that I never
thought I'd be able to do. Have you noticed my blog yet today at all? Go
look & see how I changed a few things around... it's fun to have the
power to do that. So here's what I'm gonna offer you... look at my blog,
see the details that you like, regardless of photo header or who the
links are etc, find what you like, tell me how you'd like to add something
similar to your blog (I've done this in the past for many other
bloggers) and I'd be happy to do it for you so long as you trust me with your
user name & password to gain access to your blogger act so I can alter
your template's HTML settings.
I can add links if you have any favorites, and I can call them
anything you want, like on mine how it says 'daily blog' for the blogs I read
every day etc, I could've written ANYTHING where 'daily blog' is, so
you're only limited by your imagination. And if you have a favorite photo
that you'd like for the top, I can do that too... Just let me know as
I'd be happy to help you out. After all, when I didn't know anything, I
had someone who has since become one of my dearest friends ever, help
ME out. And where would we be without ever having someone lend the first
hand, right?
